Imagination is more important
than knowledge.
Albert Einstein

Marlene Parra, Artist from Venezuela

The Artist has a responsibility in front of his fellow man. In an epoca axis such as ours, where the spiritual values are constantly oscillating, where civilization is threatened with death, were we are invaded with an obsession for profit, gain and pleasure which condemns its own feelings of art,  he should pass between them and their slogans. The artists are the last to know that certain truths neither value money or priveleges - They are without price. Because we are in a century of speed and consumption, we should say: Watch the wheat grow, Observe all of life. Only the artist, cannot remake humanity, but at least should know through his silent search that the luck of everyone plays itself out here and there in all parts.
Alfred Manessier.

I am alone in a strange city and know no one,
nor do I understand the tongue they speak.
But someone shines suddenly, in the midst of the multitude,
like the sudden flash of a word lost in the page or
or a pasture hidden in the bosom of the earth.

Eduardo Galeano, "Ventana sobre la ciudad (II)"

"My painting is based on the freedom to manifest creativity in all of its facets, in this activity I have discovered the relation of each form expressed, with my consciousness and the collective consciousness. Each of my works is like a personal mandala. It is the way to begin a journey which opens those doors which return to myself, to free me, and connect me with those profound dimensions, beyond the physical, where I can escape the mediocracy and ordinariness of daily life."

In 1984, Marle began her studies in art, in the school of art, "Cristóbal Rojas", "located in the city of Caracas (capital of Venezuela). After 5 years of studies she graduated in 1989 with the title or degree "Suficiencia en Arte".
